My Skills
Game Design: Having completed a Bachelor of Information Technology (Games & Graphics Programming), I have made several small games working in a team. I also participated in last year’s Global Game Jam at UTS where I made the game “Competitive Plumbing” (Please don't judge a game by its name). Between all of this, I have developed a lot of skills useful in Game Design; creativity, communication and the ability to limit my scope.
Programming Languages: I most often code in C#, but am familiar with C, C++, Java and Python.
Artificial Intelligence Coding: I have a large interest in artificial intelligence coding, and the bulk of my 3rd year classes were artificial intelligence based.
Mixed Reality Coding: Mixed reality gaming is something I'm very interested in. I took a class on it at RMIT to further my knowledge (and bring me one step closer to Sword Art Online). The class involved designing a game for either the HoloLens in AR, or the Vive in VR. My work involved creating an artificial intelligence that could recognise the room the player was in, and add level features to the room. For example, ramps to help the player move a ball around the room to the goal.
Mobile App Development: In my final year of University, I entered a competition a to submit a design and prototype of a mobile game to Village Roadshow, in the hopes of being selected to be mentored for the year and have the game published. My game was selected and my team and I have spent the last year working with Village Roadshow creating a mobile game. This was an amazing experience, being mentored by their Senior Programmer. I am very capable of coding for mobile apps as well as having a reasonable proficiency in UI and scalability for multiple devices.
